Yikes.

School is getting hectic. I've got four finals/midterms, a ton pf papers, and two presentations all due next week. Almost quit my job yesterday. UGH. At least I have a desk now, to do my homework on, instead of the little tiny laptop table infront of the TV. I really hope I can cram all this in and still maintain my grades. We'll see.

Well, it's official.

I suck at blogging regularly. And also, Carl and I have been married for exactly one year today, and it's Thanksgiving today! We're going to go to the zoo, and go to my Moms in Airdrie to stuff our faces with turkey. Hopefully the weather gods will treat us well. I could reflect on all aspects of our marriage this past year in this entry, and I could analyse it, and blah, blah, blah. But there are wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen, and I just feel like enjoying this beautiful morning with my beautiful husband, as we start another year together. It has been quite the adventure, and things are only going to get bigger and better from here on in. I'll try to keep updated in here a little more often, but for those of you who are, or have ever been, students on post-secondary, you know how much life it sucks out of you. I'm sure I'll be able to find some time. <3

And the cycle of life and death continues...

..my grandfather passed away today at the Lethbridge Hospital. It's been a long night. His funeral is the same day as my cousins wedding on Saturday. Thats going to be a very emotional day. Sigh.

There's Just Some Things In Life...

..that just make you really reflect. Certain books, music, movies, things like that. I'd have to say that one of my all time favourite movies is Finding Neverland, where Johnny Depp stars as J.M. Barrie. We studied this movie in grade 12 English. It is one of he most amazing movies I have ever seen. I learn something new almost every time I watch it. I've seen it about 20 times, and it still stirs up some emotions that I can barely explain. A nostalgia of my childhood, as well as my last year of school...it's absolutely, I know this is going to sounds gay, but it really is a "magical" movie. The soundtrack to this film won an Academy Award, and is very deserving of it too. I absolutely adore this movie and how it makes me feel. Watch it. See how you feel. Then tell me about it :]

College Stuff.

So I went to the Franklin Station Bow Valley campus for a little "mini-orientation" of sorts for Practical Nursing. It was awesome. I got to meet a bunch of wonderful staff, who answered a ton of my questions, and were just so helpful. There were donuts and stuff too. Mmm. There were about 50 students there, and we all got to tour the place, and see some equipment and stuff. There were some textbooks that we will be using there, and I grabbed a Psychology one, and just sat in a desk and read it for about 30 minutes. Lol. I'm going to get my list of books asap and buy them as soon as my school money gets transferred to me. Hopefully within the next few weeks :D GAH I've never been more excited to go to school in my life! ^_^

I'm famished.

BUT thats okay, I'll be out of this horrid office soon enough. For good, too. I finally realized that my passion really isn't sitting behind a desk and dealing with idiots both on the phone and in the office. So I'm on the job hunt once again. I have another evening part time job at the clothes store Ricki's which is pretty awesome thus far, and the discounts are amazing as well. 50% off 6 pieces every month, and 30% off the rest. YAY! But I'll get a full time job Monday to Friday and work no later than 4:30. It'll be nice.

Carl is also going back to Totem, where they can guarantee him at elast $5 more per hour than he was making here. We need it too, cause come September, we'll only have one income. Speaking of which, I'm sooooo unbelievably excited for school. I feel like such a nerd. I just want to buy my text books and start to study. Hah.

One of the girls that I worked with at Ricki's, Beth invited us out to a Sun and Salsa festival in Kensington on the 20th, it sounds pretty awesome. Cheap salsa and chips, latin dancing, all that good stuff. Thats one of the big reasons I love this city, theres stuff to do all the time, everywhere. You never get bored here. Unless you're a complete hermit.

But alas, I must depart, I've still got a few more hours of work. Ciao!
