Le sigh. Carl went on a business road trip to Red Deer yesterday. He's been on one before, and it wasn't too overly bad, until Thursday. But this one's not as bad, because we now work together and I understand more of why these road trips are so important. Besides, this week is super busy. I'm flying out to Kelowna on Thursday morning for a work conference on Friday, then Carl will be driving there on Saturday with his crew for another conference on Sunday, then I'll drive back with them on Sunday. It's going to be one hectic weekend! I can't wait to meet the other admins from the different offices across Canada. There is much to be done in these next two days, so I don't think I'll even have time to miss Carl. It's his birthday on Saturday, so I'm going to take him out for a night on the own in Kelowna, then we'll come back to the hotel and just hang out in the jacuzzi with the rest of the crew. After that, who knows? ;) Ahh...the liberties of being married. Gotta love 'em.
Anyhoo, I'm on the lookout for another part-time job, to not only keep myself out of trouble, but mainly because we need to money. It'll be nice to have a little bit of financial flexibility and freedom again. I want to work somewhere that closes at 9 or 9:30, so perhaps a clothing store in a mall, or maybe Petland or something fun like that!
Speaking of cats, once Carl and I get more stable, we're going to get one!! We went to a cat fanciers show a few weeks ago, and although purebreds are neat, we decided then that we would adopt a kitty from the Meow Foundation. It's a no-kill shelter that rescues abandoned cats, and strays. I'm so excited :D We just need to save up the $500 damage deposit for our landlady, because our place is no-pets-allowed. But she loves us, so we got an exception, yay!

Today was interesting.
Work was good. I only had 11 people confirmed to come in, and 9 showed up. Thats the best I've done since I started this job. I'm starting to get a hang of talking to people on the phone, and really capturing their interest. So just as I was locking up the office, this guy (about mid-40s), reeking of alcohol and BO comes up to me, asking for a ride somewhere. He obviously wasn't totally smashed, but I could tell he had a few. I said no, and to go to the old folks place and call a cab. He offered $20 if I'd drive him to where he wanted to go, and he seemed quite sincere so I let him into our office and I called a cab for him, because the other place wouldn't let him in. He was really getting on my nerves, offering me $30 to give him a ride until I was just like, "Listen buddy, I'm not going to give you a ride. Now shut it, or you're outta this office." and he shut up. So yeah. He didn't try anything, and he wasn't creepy, but it was in a way.
In other news, James (someone I work with) has been sleeping around with so many girls from the office. And he has an STD. One that can severly affect a womans fertility if she catches it, and may even cause cervical cancer. No protection with these girls. He knows he has it, and they have no idea. SHIT. What an asshole. If I co-worked with him, I'd frickin tear him apart. How could someone do that, and have a clear conscience? Argh. People like that make me want to punch them. You know what they do to people like that in Africa

Well, today I start my blog.
I've never had a blog before. I've heard about them, read about them, laughed at them, swore never to write a blog, yet here I am. I succumbed. I used to write in a journal every day when I was in junior high and sometimes in high school. I like to sometimes dig them out of my box and read them now and again, and it always brings a smile to my face as I wonder "What else did I do that day? How was I really feeling?" Because one never remembers those things. Journals/blogs/diaries/whatever are always good to have, I've decided. They're good outlets for bottled up emotion, and I'm just getting used to...oh, I don't know how to say it. Letting my feelings and thoughts known, to those who want to hear/read about them. A friend of mine once said something about blogs that moved me.
"I hate when I stumble upon a blog and I get all into it.. but then...it stops around 2005 or something. And it's like all fucked up. Because you have no idea what that person is doing anymore. Why did they stop? Are they dead? Did they have kids? What was so important that they had to leave their blog without notice? And it's always like "I know nobody is reading this" and they have no comments on their blog. But... I'm reading your blog.. you are not alone in cyber space. I am here with you. But where did you go? You left me all alone unsatisfied and inconclusive. =( It makes me sad... like looking at photos of friends you haven't seen since you were a kid. They put all this effort into doing a blog and they don't even fucking end it? Not even.. "maybe I'll be back later... thanks for sharing this moment on the internet with me". Man that's so irresponsible." -Julio
So yeah. Cool, hey. I'm not going to leave all my faithful readers in the dark. Lol. Well, thats all for tonight, folks. I'll keep this updated at least a few times a week. Ciao!
